The first CHARMing Italian training took place on 25-26 September 2010. The workshop gathered together representatives of 20 youth organizations. The content of the workshop was focused more on theoretical introduction of the project themes and made the participants explored the issues of racism, xenophobia and Human Rights. The themes of Roma inclusion and gender equality were an accent of the training and special attention was paid to them.
“Actually we wanted people to meet each other and think about issues, so the next time we’ll be able to work on them. 
The next workshop will be more practical.”, Irene Mangani, one of the training facilitators say. She is planning and implementing the Italian in-country workshop together with Luca and Federica. The three of them attended the international Training of Trainers, which was organized in Bulgaria last June as important part of the Youth against Racism project.
The second Italian workshop within the project will take place on 15-16 October 2010.
