    293 youth organizations were involved in charming training activities for 2013 and 2014

    The CHARM project has involved 293 organizations in training activities on anti-racism and fundamental rights for the period 2013-2014. This became clear in the reporting and evaluation process of the project, which finished officially with the end of 2014. The project is mainly implemented in Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Poland and Spain.

    The CHARM partnership is more than happy to present the final publication of the project with the title ‘Rethinking Inclusion in Youth Work: The CHARM process’, which is now available for free online reading. The publication summarizes the experience of the partnership on training youth organizations on anti-racism and fundamental rights for the last 2 years within the project.

    The conference ‘Spreading CHARM: Inclusive youth organizations in Europe’ took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 24-25 November 2014, gathering 50 participants from six European countries.

If you have browsed around our page and you are still not persuaded that your organization needs to become more CHARMing (meaning – more inclusive, supporting social inclusion and Human Rights), then we strongly advise you to enroll for a training or workshop on Human Rights Education, diversity or social inclusion. What do we mean when we say

Initially “racism” is used to refer to the belief that there are different human races, which are divided into superior and inferior categories, which are biologically embedded and could not be changed. However, the "inferior list" also includes people with disabilities, sexual minorities, ethnic and religious groups. That is why in the context of our project “racism” is understood as intolerance to anyone who is “different”.

The CHARM partnership

Currently, the project partnership consists of 6 non-governmental organizations from 6 different EU member states. The involved partners are active on local, national and international level with varying extend. All of the involved organizations have experience in working with both anti-racism and youth thematic, but also complement each other’s experience. All partners share commitment to participatory and learner-based learning approaches in doing so.
